Pressure and air volume in clean rooms
A high-level operating theatre requires a tight structure. Infection can be avoided by keeping the room pressurized. Pressure control units adjust the extract air flow by measuring pressure difference between rooms.
The operating theatre should be ventilated throughout the day. We need to maintain stable air supply air, whch requires VAV dampers that provide stable air flow regardless of changes in the ductwork.
VAV dampers require sound attenuation because dampers have self-generated noise.
