Indoor climate solutions in Industry

Indoor climate solutions in ventilation are crucial in industrial environments as they directly impact worker health, safety, and productivity. Specialized solutions are essential to address unique industrial needs. Tailoring ventilation systems to specific environmental and operational requirements enhances air quality, supports regulatory compliance, and optimizes overall operational efficiency.

Industrial Solutions - Diffusers

Mixed Ventilation

In mixed ventilation the air is supplied with a relatively high velocity outside the occupied zone, usually from the ceiling or the wall. The high velocity of the supplied air means, that a considerable amount of room-air is circulated as well. The velocity of the supplied air should be kept at a level which ensures that the mixing is effective, but at the same time ensures that the air velocity has fallen to the required level by the time it reaches the occupied zone. This makes demands on the efficiency of the units used as regards to velocity and mixing capacity.

Displacement ventilation

When you need mostly cooling in the room and you have enough space to reach floor, best choice can be displacement ventilation. When using displacement ventilation, it is the thermal forces from the heating sources in the room, that control the air distribution. The air is supplied directly into the occupied zone at floor level - at low velocity and a cooling temperature. The air spreads across the floor, and displaces the hot, contaminated air, which is forced to the ceiling by the convection flow from the heating sources. Exhaust units should be placed in the ceiling, where a hot “contaminated” layer is formed.

Industrial Solutions - Acoustic

Lindab Acoustic is our range of sound attenuators, offering acoustic solutions and accurate sound calculations for optimised ventilation systems in buildings. Through decades of research and development we have gathered extensive knowledge and experience within the field of noise reduction, helping our customers design soundproof ventilation systems that contribute to healthier buildings for people to grow, live and work in.

Industrial Solutions - Heating panels

Ceiling heating also works well in premises where people sit to perform concentrated work, as well as in premises where people stand or move around. The ceiling height, in practise, has no importance; either upwards or downwards, for the provision of a warm climate in the occupied area. A big advantage of ceiling heating is that the heaters are "out of the way". The placement of furnishings, machinery and other equipment does not usually need to be taken into consideration, and the ceiling heating panels do not take up any space on the walls or the floor.

Variable Air Volume - VAV

For a ventilation system to provide a reliable uptime, comfortable indoor climate, and at the same time be energy efficient, intelligence is required that can control the air flow based on how the room is used.
